Stenciling on Stenciling

Everyone started by picking a color scheme with variations on that color. We then started with pattern stencils. Everyone chose a patterned stencil and one color and filled their spread with it.

Step 2 was to  take a second stencil and a second color that we chose and stencil on top of the first pattern. After the second stencil most of us did a third stencil and third pattern even though some decided to stick with the 2 patterns.

After our patterns were all done everyone chose stencils that had some kind of motif to it. Flowers, birds, leaves etc.

We chose a contrasting color and stenciled it on top of our pattern. We then enhanced them in different ways like outlining or adding other colors to our motifs.
