Stitch A Tile

This project was inspired by an article I saw in a Cloth Paper Scissors  digital magazine from 2007. It was a paper quilt create by Leslie Riley.

Everyone chose different scrapbook papers and cut them up to create tiles to fill up their journal spreads.

We then used a variety of stamps, stencils and black ink to stamp images or words onto each of the tiles.

Each tile (piece of stamped or stenciled paper) was hand stitched all the way around using the whip stitch.

We then pasted them down in our journal making it look quilt like.

Actually so far I am the only one that finished 🙂 as everyone took home the sewing to do and never got a chance to finish. (I will post their pictures as they finish)
