I've been to regular paint parties and have done art with Faigie. The main difference between the two is that you're not looking over your shoulder in Faigies classes at the other participants to see how much better theirs is than yours so you never feel embarrassed by what you create.
It's amazing when you do art with Faigie how you focus on what you are doing and simply forget about all the stresses going on in your life. I was the typical person who insisted I was not creative and I've come out of Faigies classes with such a gratifying feeling of accomplishment.

Two types of Art Parties
1-Alcohol Ink Parties
Alcohol inks are inks in an alcohol base that are used on many different types of non porous surfaces.
The inks cannot always be controlled which leads to some beautiful, dreamy, abstract, colorful pieces.
Below are samples of some projects we do with alcohol inks.
To begin we create beautiful backgrounds using various techniques.
Then there are 6 different options of projects to create with the alcohol inks. Either using some of the backgrounds created or something totally new.

2-Mixed Media Art Parties
Mixed media uses a combination of paper, paint, stencils, stamps and collage to create fun pieces of artwork.
Below are 5 different styles of mixed media art projects that you can choose for your party.
1-Cityscapes or Landscapes
2-Flowers in flower pots
3-Mask it out
The canvas backgrounds are painted, stamped, stenciled, collaged and a gorgeous abstract background is created. Then a mask (the inside of a stencil) is put on top and painted around with black leaving your gorgeous abstract to shine through.
4-Abstract mixed media designs
If you love abstract fun then this type of project is for you.
A design is drawn then filled in with stamping, stenciling, collaging, doodling etc.
5-Collage & stencil silhouettes
This is a good project for you if you don't have the full 2 hours available for most art parties.
A background is collaged with scrapbook papers. Using stencils with black paint on top of the collaged background to ensure that the silhouettes are sharp and visible.

It is definitely cheaper to do a party in my home studio then for me to travel
