I was inspired to do this by an artist I follow on Instagram by this post of hers.  I didn't follow it exactly but, I took the main idea. I gave the women an assortment of craft punchers to use along with lots of plain and patterned papers. I showed them the idea I liked from that Instagram post that I liked and told them to use the negative space as well as what they punched out (the negative space is the piece with the hole that they punched out of)

This woman used the puncher that creates edges on paper to create her spread.

Someone else decided to use squares of different colored papers for her background and other women basically followed that idea too.
