Gelatos and Distress Crayons
(Doodling)
Using Gelatos is like coloring with lipstick. They are so smooth a nd creamy and they are a delight to play with. They are actually water soluble but, I haven't used them with water much. I think I tried one time years ago but, don't remember much about the experience.
You can try it yourself by coloring a bit and then taking a wet paintbrush and spreading it that way. The Tim Holz distress crayons are very similar to the gelatos. They are however, thinner and you have a bit more control over them.
If you want to do some finer work then the distress crayons would be a better bet. They also have them in many different sets of colors.
I also have these cheaper sets from the recollections brand that I found in Michaels at one point.
These crayons are really perfect for expressive art as they glide on so easily and it would be fun to use them on really large paper to get full use of your arms.
I was feeling kind of lost when I opened my book to play on that page. Then I saw a small circle that was showing through from the other side so I colored in in and just went from there.
